A Famosa Resort in Melaka is one of the theme park attractions that you should consider going with your entire family. This 520 hectare integrated resort has attractions that will enable you to spend your day from morning till the evening. There is the Animal World Safari where you will be able to see the many shows that the animals performed. See the live show of elephants, birds, other animals and the wild wild west. Enjoy the water at the Water World where there are many rides on the water that your whole family can participate. End the evening by joining the carnival show and other activities at Cowboy Town. Those who are into golfing will enjoy the beautiful golf course in the vicinity.

A Famosa Resort Water World

The Water World set at an area of 20 acres is rated as the largest water theme park in Malaysia. This attraction will enable you to enjoy and have fun with your children of all ages. there is the Wave Pool which simulate the beach. The Lazy River is where you can just relax as the water takes you around the park. 

The Water World

Take your time and enjoy the Arabian Village water playground. The Family Raft is the time where your entire family will have fun as you sit on the tube and being tossed and splashed by the waves of the water. Finally, for those who are able to take the adventure, try the 7-storey High Speed Slide which will take you down the slides in a few seconds.

Here in the Animal World Safari, you will encounter many animals such as tigers, zebras, elephants, lions, giraffes, camels and other animals that roam freely in the Safari. Go near the rabbits and other animals as you feed and pet them in the Walk-Through Area. Experience the world of chickens at the Chicken Farm. Go on the raft to Monkey Island and see the many species of monkeys that are reared here. Finally, remember to see the Animal Shows which are shown based on the schedule below.

A Famosa Cowboy Town
From 6pm to 2am, take a journey back to the days of cowboys. The Cowboy Town has western type of restauants, disco, shopping village, bowley alley, game centre and fun fair all of which reminds one of the many western cowboy shows on television. You will experience the rustic buildings, cowboys and cowgirls and other antiques.
There the Red Indian Show which include the blowing of fire where participation from the crowd is encouraged. The 4D cinema will enable you to watch, hear, feel and smell just as in real life as you see the SOS Planet, Wild Safari or The Haunted House.

The highlight of the day is the Animal Musical Parade called Carnival at 9pm where you will experience the elephants, camels, orang utans, clowns, Cowboys, Red Indians, dancers, birds, mascots, horses and other colorful floats marching down the road. If you are close enough to them, you may have the opportunity to take some pictures and pet some of the animals.

At the end of the show, fireworks are lighted up that illuminates the sky creating a beautiful atmosphere for the family to enjoy. Remember to bring along your camera to capture these moments as a momento.

Getting To A Famosa Resort

If you are coming from Kuala Lumpur, take the North-South Expressway and go towards Melaka. Exit at Alor Gajah Toll and follow the signages to the resort. It will take you approximately 1 hours and 15 minutes to reach here.
